Good News For Fans: Get Ready to Welcome Shahrukh Khan on Big Screen After A Year
Filmmakers DK Krishna and Raj
Nidimoru have confirmed that Shahrukh Khan upcoming film will soon head to its
making as the actor loved the script. Talking to Rajeev Masand in an interview
on latest Bollywood news, the two revealed Shahrukh’s reaction to the script
saying “We just told him a story
that we wanted to say and he immediately loved it.”
“He did say ‘your script is great, it is important to keep the
script intact. So whatever happens in that journey, make sure the script
remains what you guys wanted it to be. Make the film it should be, don’t be
bogged down by the star or actor in it’” added Raj. Detailing their
meeting with SRK, DK said “We met
him and discussed the script. He enjoyed the universe that the film belongs to.
The story has elements that resonate with us.”
DK adds that the film is so
unique that SRK himself doesn’t want the script idea to be modified in any way:
“That’s his way of saying that
even if I offer suggestions, don’t feel compelled to take it.”
Highly satisfied with their
script, they both said “It is our
favourite script that we have held on to for a long time.” Though
their team has decided to work on Shah Rukh Khan upcoming
film, the two leave the responsibility of official announcement on SRK as
Nidimoru says “It’s up to him to
[officially] announce it. He is working out his dates. We have been validated
often. We were recently told that we don’t make a bad film”
The filmmakers did not reveal
the script or release date of Shahrukh Khan’s latest movie but they dropped a
hint that the plot of the film is going to excite the fans. They said “After many, many meetings, he’d still say
the same. I think it’s wonderful that he is so open to it. It is one of our
favorite scripts we have been holding on, thinking let’s do it at the right
time, whenever. Its exciting if we can pull it off with him.”
The latest entertainment updates from
Mumbai Mirror revealed that the film is an infusion of action and comedy and
will release in mid 2020. A source revealed to fans : “The film is infused with Raj and DK’s brand
of quirky humour. It is a space he hasn’t explored yet.”
